We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a young university student, who is currently studying Film, TV and Digital Production at Bath Spa University. Our client is looking for a team of like-minded individuals to join her care team of PAs to provide her personal care and independent living support. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact in a young adult's life.

Start: ASAP

Hours: Live in – 7 days on, 7 days off

Location: Bath Spa University, BA2 (term time) // Somerset (off term)

Rate of Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay: £180 per shift
  • Holidays: 5.6 weeks holiday pro rata

Bespoke training in the client’s particular requirements will be provided. Full Clean Driving Licence is a requirement for this role, as you will be driving the client’s adapted vehicle.

About our Client: Our client is in her first year at University of Bath Spa from September. She has cerebral palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user. She is looking for a team of positive care assistants to support her daily living. Our client enjoys being creative, the cinema, and reading. She likes to keep active physically and enjoys yoga and swimming. She goes to swimming lessons 3 to 4 times per week and therefore will require PAs to feel comfortable in the water. She also uses a disabled cross-trainer.

Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care – Bathing, Dressing, Toileting.
  • Health Care – Administering medication, using medical equipment, physio.
  • Help getting around.
  • Daily Living.
  • Social Support – Going to events, club and pub.
  • Housekeeping / Domestic duties including cooking.
