About Our Client
Our client is a young university student, currently studying English Literature at Leeds Beckett University. She lives with Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, which profoundly weakens three of her limbs, meaning everyday tasks such as navigating campus and travelling become a challenge.
Our client needs full-time comprehensive support to help meet her needs, including assisting her with mobility, personal care and general support. You will support our client at home on a live-in basis in Headingley, and will be required to provide daily support at her home in Ilkley over the holidays.
As well as being a book-lover, our client loves to get out and about, including going to restaurants, gigs and the cinema to name a few! She reads, listens to music and collects records. Living with cerebral palsy means that she has difficulties accessing certain things compared to the average person. Transportation is a challenge for her, and she may need assistance getting around. Additionally, putting on some items of clothing in the morning can be a struggle. That’s why she relies on a PA to help her with these tasks and ensure her comfort and independence. Beyond the practical aspects of the role, it would be truly wonderful if you share her interests in reading and music.
