Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in someone\’s life? We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant to provide exceptional care to a young individual with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Dartford
Duration: Permanent

Hours: 1‑hour shift (start time between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays + 7‑hour shift (11:00 am to 6:00 pm) alternate Saturdays.

Rates: 1‑hour shifts £24.00ph and Saturday shifts £14.00ph.

About Our Client

I am a young female with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 and a full‑time powered wheelchair user. My respiratory system is compromised and most of my nutrition is provided via gastrostomy. I graduated from university in 2022 with a masters in chemistry 1st class honours and currently work as a medical writer.

I live at home with my Mum, Dad, and dog, and enjoy spending time outdoors, visiting National Trust parks, zoos, and engaging in animal/wildlife conservation and climate change work. I am a massive Disney, Disney Parks, and musical theatre fan and enjoy music, baking, crochet, crafting and shopping.

I need a Personal Assistant to physically support me during my time outside of work and be able to drive my Motability wheelchair‑accessible vehicle. Applicants must be kind, patient, discreet, caring, and hold a clean automatic driving licence.

Past care experience is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
