Summer TEFL Teacher: Young Learners (NonResidential)

Key Details
- Role: TEFL Teacher (Young Learners)
- Locations: SKOLA Regents Park & SKOLA Gloucester Gate, London
- Dates: 15th June - 29th August 2026 (Minimum 4-week commitment)
- Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (16.5 of English lessons, with the same class, two half-day trips, paid CPD and planning/ admin time). Lunch is provided.
- Pay: £650 base Pay + Holiday Pay)
- Note: This is a non-residential role. You must have the Right to Work in the UK by the start of employment.
As a SKOLA TEFL Teacher, you will be instrumental in helping our students aged 5 to 17 years old to ‘learn English and discover other cultures’. You will be teaching the SKOLA curriculum, which focuses on making learning meaningful and immersive through:
- Thematic, Project-Based Learning: Connecting English language skills to real-world topics.
- Weekly Excursions: Leading your class on educational trips to reinforce classroom themes (Tuesday & Thursday or Wednesday).
- Friday Presentations: Guiding students in applying their learning through creative presentations to their peers.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons using the SKOLA curriculum and 5-stage planning framework.
- Modelling and reinforcing the positive 'Ready, Safe, Kind' behaviour principles (MRRRs).
- Completing essential administrative tasks, including registers and writing student certificates/reports.
- Attending all required meetings, including morning briefings and CPD sessions.
- Mentoring a trainee teacher (where applicable).
- Embracing a digital-first, 'printerless' working environment using Google Workspace.
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- A recognised TEFL qualification (e.g., CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL, QTS, or equivalent).
- At least 1 year of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language to Young Learners (or teaching YL in a UK/IB school setting).
- Experience managing a Young Learner classroom with a positive and proactive approach.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

We ensure you are fully prepared for the role through a comprehensive, paid onboarding process:
- Mandatory online modules completed pre-start.
- Attendance at in-person First Aid Training and a full-day training session in June 2026.
- Support from a dedicated mentor during your first term.
