Job Purpose: To provide expert dermatological care in a private clinic setting, with a focus on treating complex acne cases using Roaccutane, alongside a broad range of skin conditions. The role involves clinical consultations, prescribing, minor procedures, and contributing to the clinic’s reputation for excellence in skin health.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Duties
- Conduct thorough dermatological assessments for patients presenting with acne and other skin conditions.
- Prescribe and monitor Roaccutane treatment in line with MHRA guidelines and clinic protocols.
- Perform minor dermatological procedures including biopsies, excisions, and intralesional injections.
- Provide cosmetic dermatology services where appropriate (e.g., chemical peels, laser treatments, skin rejuvenation).
- Patient Management
- Develop personalised treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
- Monitor treatment progress and adjust regimens as needed.
- Educate patients on skincare, lifestyle factors, and medication adherence.
- Ensure informed consent and clear communication regarding risks and benefits of treatments.
- Governance & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR systems.
- Adhere to GMC, CQC, and MHRA standards for prescribing and clinical practice.
