Multiple Roles Available
Locations: Derbyshire | Leicestershire | Stoke-on-Trent | Shropshire | Surrounding Areas (within approx. 100-mile radius)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience, role, and qualifications). Overtime available at enhanced rates.
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for multiple Commercial Gas Engineer roles to support increasing workloads across service, repair, maintenance, and installation projects within the commercial and social housing sectors. These roles are available with established and growing organisations working across social housing, extra care facilities, supported living schemes, and commercial sites. Opportunities are available for engineers with strengths in servicing and breakdowns, planned maintenance, installation works, or a combination of all three. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers seeking stability, varied work, and long-term career progression.
The Role
- Servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas appliances and systems
- Fault finding and responding to breakdowns
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Installing commercial gas appliances, boilers, water heaters, and plantroom equipment
- Completing gas safety checks, tightness testing, and emissions testing
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings (where required)
- Completing job documentation via paperwork or mobile systems
- Delivering a professional, customer-focused service on-site
- Working independently or as part of a wider engineering team
What We're Looking For
- Valid Commercial Gas qualifications, including some or all of: CCN1, COCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, DAH1, CODNCO1, CORT1, ICPN1, CIGA1, TPCP1A
- Gas Safe registered (or eligible)
- Experience in commercial gas service, maintenance, repair, or installation
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of health & safety and industry regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- F-Gas, LPG, or commercial catering qualifications
- L8 Awareness
- Knowledge of SFG20
- Electrical or plumbing experience
Training and further qualifications may be available depending on role and employer.
