Skirting UK is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of MDF skirting boards, architrave and interior mouldings.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for a confident, driven and ambitious individual who wants to make a real impact on the business.
This isn't a typical office job.
We're looking for someone who enjoys creating opportunities, building relationships and finding new ways to generate sales.
If you're self-motivated, proactive and enjoy taking initiative, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
Your primary objective will be to help grow the business by bringing in new customers and increasing sales.
Alongside this, you'll become an integral part of our office team, learning our products, systems and customer service processes.
No two days will be the same, but your responsibilities will include
- Identifying and contacting potential customers, including builders, developers, joinery companies, contractors, interior designers and trade businesses.
- Building long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Following up quotations and converting enquiries into orders.
- Finding new sales opportunities using your own initiative.
- Assisting with customer enquiries via phone and email.
- Learning our product range to confidently advise customers.
- Supporting general office administration and order processing.
- Assisting with marketing activities including social media, email marketing, website improvements and other promotional ideas (experience beneficial but not essential).
What We're Looking For
We're far more interested in attitude than qualifications.
The ideal candidate will be
- Highly motivated and ambitious.
- Confident speaking to people over the phone and in person.
- Self-driven and able to work independently.
- Commercially minded with a passion for sales.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Eager to learn and develop.
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills.
- Someone who enjoys solving problems and finding opportunities.
Experience in any of the following would be a huge advantage
- Sales or business development.
- Marketing.
- Social media management.
- PPC or Google Ads.
- SEO.
- Graphic design.
- Photography or videography.
- Content creation.
- CRM systems.
- E-commerce or website management.
What We Offer
- Opportunity to play a key role in a fast-growing business.
- A varied role where your ideas are genuinely valued.
- Career progression as the company continues to expand.
- Support and training to develop your skills.
- Friendly, close-knit working environment.
We Want Someone Who...
- Doesn't wait to be told what to do.
- Sees opportunities where others don't.
- Enjoys speaking to new people.
- Wants to help build a business rather than simply work for one.
- Takes pride in achieving results.
- Wants to grow alongside the company.
