We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineer with hands on experience of managing and deploying solutions as Infrastructure as code (IAC) in Azure to join our team, as we continue to modernise and transform our IT services.
As a Cloud Engineer you will be part of a supportive and skilled team responsible for delivering change in our public cloud (Microsoft Azure) platform. The role requires skills and experience across the Microsoft Azure stack to enable the successful automation, monitoring and management of our Azure environment. You will implement new technologies and processes ensuring services are configured economically, efficiently, and flexibly, with the right level of governance and control to ensure our services and data are safe and secure.
As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team you will work alongside other experienced Cloud Engineers and Architects on the delivery of projects, proactive and reactive work.

You will be joining the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team, consisting of 6 engineers delivering change for the business using SAFe and Agile. The team focuses on modernising existing systems and building new platform solutions in Azure, while supporting other product teams across the business.

What Will You Be Doing?
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deploying and maintaining workloads in Microsoft Azure using infrastructure as code.
- Working with architects to deliver cloud solutions across SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models.
- Contributing to designs that meet business, operational, and security requirements.
- Monitoring systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with a proactive mindset.
What Do We Need From You?
- Experience working in an Agile environment, deploying Azure resources through CI/CD pipelines and tools such as BICEP, Terraform, Azure CLI, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of core Azure services: Active Directory, Management Groups, Subscriptions, vNets, Route Tables, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Front Door, Key Vault, and monitoring/security tools like Azure Monitor, Policy, and Defender for Cloud.
- Desirable: Experience with python scripting and containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App services and Azure SQL.
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion.
- A genuine curiosity for technology and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
- A positive, pragmatic approach and enthusiasm for delivering value to customers.
