We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive CDD Analyst to join our First Line Risk team. This role can be based in Guernsey or Jersey, offering an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in client onboarding, customer due diligence and financial crime prevention to play a key role in protecting the business while delivering a seamless customer experience.
As a CDD Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing and verifying customer due diligence information, supporting the onboarding of new and existing customers, maintaining FATCA and CRS records, and providing guidance to stakeholders on CDD-related matters. You will contribute to regulatory compliance, help identify process improvements, and support the delivery of a robust financial crime control environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) activities for new and existing clients, including more complex cases, in line with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Review and verify customer information and documentation to support effective onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
- Maintain FATCA and CRS records and ensure regulatory requirements are met throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Act as a key point of contact for CDD-related queries, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with customer due diligence remediation activities and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
- Prepare management information and reporting to support governance and oversight activities.
- Support projects and change initiatives as directed by the CDD Manager.
- Maintain a strong understanding of AML, CFT and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.
- Deliver excellent service to customers and stakeholders while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls and customer outcomes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an onboarding, customer service or administrative role within a regulated or professional services environment.
- Understanding of Client Due Diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements.
- Knowledge of onboarding processes, due diligence requirements and FATCA/CRS obligations.
- Understanding of the financial crime landscape and regulatory expectations within banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- GCSE qualifications or equivalent.
- Experience working within a financial services compliance environment.
- Knowledge of financial services products and markets.
- Experience using sanctions screening or monitoring tools.
- Intermediate Excel skills and experience supporting projects or change initiatives.
