We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused

Project Manager to join our Change function, supporting high-impact transformation initiatives across Skipton International.

This role sits within the Project Office and reports to the Senior Manager, Change, with responsibility for leading multiple project workstreams and line managing a team.

As a Project Manager, you will drive the successful delivery of change across one of our core pillars:

Risk, Regulatory, Optimisation & Growth, or Finance as well as a key horizontal capability such as

Technology (CRM or Core Banking), Customer Journeys, Change Prioritisation, Artificial Intelligence, or Quality Assurance .

You will operate within a hybrid delivery environment , utilising Agile (including release trains) and traditional waterfall methodologies where appropriate.

The role is essential in ensuring change is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements, while enabling the organisation to modernise, scale, and enhance both customer and colleague experiences.

  • Project Delivery & Governance
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of change initiatives aligned to strategic priorities and the wider Change Portfolio
  • Plan and execute projects using Agile, release train, or waterfall methodologies
  • Maintain strong governance, including RAID management, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Ensure all projects meet internal controls, documentation standards, and regulatory expectations
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
  • Act as the primary contact for stakeholders, SMEs, and technology partners
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to senior leadership and governance forums
  • Facilitate workshops, sprint ceremonies, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Manage dependencies and ensure alignment across multiple teams and initiatives
  • Technology & Capability Leadership
  • Lead delivery within your assigned horizontal capability, which may include:
  • CRM enhancements and adoption
  • Core Banking upgrades and optimisation
  • Customer journey redesign using data and insight
  • Portfolio planning and prioritisation
  • AI-enabled automation and decisioning
  • Strengthening QA processes and release readiness
  • Risk, Compliance & Regulatory Alignment
  • Ensure all change activity meets regulatory requirements and operational resilience expectations
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively
  • Embed appropriate controls, testing, and assurance into all delivery activity
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation
  • Track delivery performance, cost, and benefit realisation
  • Oversee third-party suppliers to ensure delivery against agreed scope, time, and quality

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering change within financial services
  • (ideally banking or lending)
  • Strong project management expertise across
  • Agile, release trains, and waterfall methodologies
  • Experience within at least one key delivery pillar: Risk, Regulatory, Optimisation & Growth, or Finance
  • Experience in at least one horizontal capability (e. g. CRM, Core Banking, Customer Journeys, AI, QA, or portfolio management)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior-level reporting
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk, controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional certifications (e. g. PRINCE2, Agile PM, Scrum Master, SAFe)
  • Experience within offshore banking or the UK/Channel Islands regulatory landscape
  • Exposure to digital transformation, automation, or data-led change
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and technology partners
