This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified PE teacher. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full part in the academic, pastoral and social life of the school, to act as personal tutor and to take part in the school's programme of professional development. We have a fantastic team of staff and you will be fully supported by a Curriculum Leader and a team of PE teachers who share a vision of effective teaching and learning founded on collaborative planning, assessment and instruction, and who help each other to continually improve practice. We have an open-door culture and reflective ethos where we use lesson study to learn from each other all the time.
0.8fte.Fixed Term Contract Maternity contract. To start January 2027 - December 2027
4 days a week - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.50am to 3.40pm
About You
We are seeking a well-qualified, lively, highly motivated specialist and innovative thinker to further strengthen the provision in the PE department.
You will be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of teaching, learning and personalisation strategies and be responsible for maintaining the highest quality of monitoring and evaluating whilst improving the standard of achievement for all students. You will be confident in your abilities to teach effectively up to KS4 and a specialism in PE is essential. You will be adept in creating a supportive, encouraging and safe learning environment for students of all diverse backgrounds.
