Overview

Direct Lending Adviser role at Skipton Building Society.

We are recruiting for multiple Direct Lending Advisers to join our Homes Business. This role requires successful candidates to join on Monday 1st December.

We’re also hiring for Customer Service Advisers and Mortgage Advisers – roles you may also be considered for, depending on your experience and interests.

Hours

This is a full-time position at 35 hours per week, working shift patterns across Monday to Saturday on a rota basis. We offer hybrid working; you must be able to travel to our Head Office in Skipton at a minimum of 1 day per week, with flexibility and more presence needed during the initial 3 week training period.

£26,000 Per Annum

What Will You Be Doing?

You will be answering a variety of customer inquiries related to their mortgage application, with your main focus being to guide them through the Decision In Principle (DIP) process. Your responsibilities include:

  • Through curious questioning, identify what the customer is hoping to achieve and cross-reference it with the lending policy to ensure mortgage viability.
  • Verify the customer\’s income and expenditure, understanding any unique circumstances that could affect the lending decision.
  • Complete the credit search to help customers understand how much they may be able to borrow and what to expect from Skipton.
  • After a successful DIP, take ownership of the customer and support them through the next stage with a qualified mortgage adviser.
