Skipton Building Society, the fourth biggest building society in the UK, seeks a Customer Service Consultant to engage customers both in-branch and via contact centre, placing customer needs at the heart of everything.
Responsibilities
- Be the First Point of Contact: You warmly welcome customers, both in-branch and over the phone, making a lasting positive impression.
- Engage and Understand: By asking insightful questions you uncover and understand customers’ needs, ensuring tailored solutions that truly make a difference.
- Listen and Tailor Solutions: You carefully listen to each customer’s unique circumstances and offer personalized solutions that meet their needs, ensuring the best outcomes for both the customer and our society.
- Proactive Outreach: You proactively reach out to customers over the phone, identifying their needs and discussing how we can support them.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Using internal systems you ensure customer records are up-to-date and accurate, with a special focus on identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.
- Adhere to Policies: You understand and adhere to our policies, standards, and controls, with comprehensive training and coaching to support you in your role.
Qualifications
- Previous experience interacting with customers, with bank or building society experience welcome.
- Experience can be in person or over the phone, contact centre experience suitable.
- Background from retail, food & beverage, guest services or health/care sector – passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work well alongside others, with a ‘one-team’ mindset.
- Fast reaction when the day gets busy and excellent time management handling a wide variety of customers.
- Desire and ability to grow, adapt and change while accommodating business needs and priorities.
