We are recruiting for a Customer Relationship Consultant to work at our Wilmslow & Warrington branches. You will engage with customers to understand their needs, provide information about our full savings range, products, and services, and conduct \\\”My Review\\\” appointments to understand and discuss customers’ financial goals in a friendly conversation. You will listen and identify the most appropriate products to suit their needs while delivering a straightforward, helpful service.

In branch you will support customers face to face, virtually, and by outbound contact. You will place customers\\\’ needs at the heart of everything you do and provide a first-class service every time. You will be a listener, a problem solver, and a fountain of knowledge to help customers achieve their financial goals.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Engage with customers to understand and identify needs through asking great questions and listening to their circumstances; tailor a relevant solution for the customer and the Society.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers in branch with enthusiasm and a desire to help.
  • Conduct \\\”My Review\\\” customer appointments face to face, virtually, or by telephone.
  • Proactively contact customers by phone to identify and discuss their needs.
  • Educate customers on a range of products and services and on different channels to engage with us directly.
  • Use internal systems to maintain accurate customer records and identify vulnerable customers to support appropriately.
  • Adhere to policies, standards, controls, and limits of authority applicable to the role, supported by training and coaching.

What Do We Need From You?

  • Previous experience of interacting with customers. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and not only those with banking/Building Society experience.
  • Experience can be in person or over the phone; contact centre experience is valuable as customers are increasingly engaging flexibly.
  • Experience in retail, food & beverage, guest services, or health/care sectors is acceptable if you demonstrate a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent communication and a collaborative, one-team mindset; ability to react quickly in busy days and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to grow, adapt, and change with business needs; ability to influence different audiences using appropriate channels.
  • Open to a broad range of activities beyond standard expectations.

What Is In It For You?

The role is permanent, working 36 hours per week (Monday to Saturday to cover branch opening hours). Salary up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits:
