What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?
- Be the First Point of Contact: You’ll warmly welcome customers, both in-branch and over the phone, ensuring their first interaction with us is a positive one.
- Engage and Understand: By asking insightful questions, you’ll uncover and understand our customers’ needs, providing tailored solutions that make a difference.
- Listen and Tailor Solutions: You’ll listen carefully to each customer’s unique circumstances and offer personalized solutions that meet their needs and support our society.
- Proactive Outreach: You’ll proactively reach out to customers by phone, identifying their needs and discussing how we can assist.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Use our internal systems to keep customer records up-to-date and accurate, with a focus on identifying and supporting vulnerable customers.
- Adhere to Policies: Understand and adhere to our policies, standards and controls, with training and coaching to support you in your role.
What Do We Need From You?
- Experience interacting with customers. We welcome candidates who have worked outside banking or building societies as well.
- Your experience may be in person or over the phone; Skipton’s customers are increasingly engaging digitally, so contact centre experience may be valuable.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, guest services or health/care sectors is welcome. Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional service is key.
- Ability to work well with others in a team, thrive under pressure, and manage time effectively.
- Desire and ability to grow, adapt and change with business needs.
What Is In It For You?
- Permanent role with 36 hours per week across Monday to Saturday to support branch hours.
- Primarily based in Scarborough, with potential work from Bridlington as needed (discussed at interview).
- Salary: £23,600 per annum, plus benefits.
