We’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our small but high-calibre team in Old St. We’re a team that’s 100% AI-native — not just building AI agents, but using them daily to supercharge our own workflows. Our mission is to reinvent product development through specialised AI agents. We started with product design agents, and now we’re building something entirely new and multimodal — we’re pushing the limits of what agents can do.
Skippr is backed by top VCs, like Bessemer (Anthropic, Perplexity, Shopify), and executives from Fiverr, Meta, Google, Lyft and more.
What you’ll do- Modern stack: Build scalable systems using FastAPI, React, Supabase or similar modern technologies — we care more about your ability to ship quality code than specific stack experience.
- Own everything from database design to AI agent orchestration.
- Agent Experience (AX): Shape intuitive interfaces for human–agent collaboration. Rapidly prototype and iterate with engineers and designers to discover the right interaction models for working productively with agents.
- LLM Agentic Workflows: Build a system of agents — tool use, memory, retries, context updates, feedback loops, and MCP integration.
- System Design & Technical Strategy: Partner directly with founders to define the technical path that balances moving fast now with scaling to many customers and dev tools later.
- You’re a full-stack 0→1 builder who has shipped to production — ideally rapidly shipping apps and building scalable systems in containerised environments.
- You’ve been a founder or founding engineer. You know what it means to build something from scratch that real people actually use or pay for.
- You thrive in ambiguity. You can juggle shifting priorities, decide when to let small fires burn, and when to dive in.
- You have grit. You’re used to hard tradeoffs and pushing through the messy middle to get to something great.
- You want remote or hybrid work. We believe early-stage startups win by moving fast in the same room — this is an in-office role, 5 days a week in our Old St office.
- You dislike ambiguity. Priorities shift, experiments fail, and new opportunities appear — if you prefer stable roadmaps, this isn’t the place.
- You don’t enjoy 0→1 environments. Early-stage means wearing multiple hats, solving unscoped problems, and building with imperfect information.
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity (EMI options): Everyone here has skin in the game and upside if we win.
- Comprehensive benefits: Pension, private health insurance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
- Real influence on architecture: You’ll make foundational decisions on our platform design that will shape how future engineers build on top of it.
- Exposure across the startup stack: Beyond code — sit in on user interviews, shape product strategy, and get a front-row seat to how startups actually grow.
- A team that’s genuinely excited: We’re obsessive about the problem, love what we’re building, and keep the culture sharp but supportive.
