Skinnydip are looking for a commercially driven Ecommerce Merchandiser to support the trading, optimisation & growth of our core website & sister brand websites. The role will focus on ensuring all sites are consistently trading at their best from launches, onsite merchandising & CRO to search, optimisation & international performance. You will play a key role in the day to day management of the websites, while line managing & supporting an Ecommerce Admin Assistant, supporting both established and growing brands within the Skinnydip group.

Key Responsibilities

  • PLANNING & ANALYSIS: Own daily & weekly performance reporting across all sites, tracking KPIs including revenue, conversion rate, AOV & ASP. Produce ad-hoc & post-launch analysis of key site activities, identifying key areas of growth & missed opportunities. Analyse product, category & collection performance across brands, identifying underperformance & missed opportunities. Create a monthly performance report reviewing style successes and failures, supported by sales data, stock position & availability. Pre-planning and build collections for newsletters, homepage and promotional banners. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the top search terms and high traffic site areas, using insight to improve user experience. Maintain a thorough understanding of e-commerce stock levels across all categories – flagging any risks & opportunities to the Merchandising team. Planning homepage banners, including branded and menu category dropdowns in advance of launch, working with Digital Marketing team to plan homepage and newsletters to make sure they are in line.
  • Onsite Merchandising, Search & CRO: Oversee product launches end to end across Skinnydip products and sister sites. Own & support the CRO roadmap driving ongoing site optimisation through A/B testing & onsite merchandising using tools such as Shoplift & Ometria. Analysing products post launch to understand what improvements can be made to increase conversions and making the relevant changes e.g. name changes, updated imagery. Maintain the product catalogue & website hierarchy, ensuring all SKUs can be located in the correct categories. Create & manage the e-commerce content calendar for the website, ensuring all banners, editorial assets & copy are relevant, optimised & updated on time and tested. Run twice weekly site reviews & audits across desktop & mobile ensuring the highest standards across site, enabling optimised product performance across all categories. Working with and reporting all bugs to external web developer agency. Identify opportunities based on customer search data and onsite behaviour, feeding insights into future product & content decisions. Work collaboratively with the copywriter & Digital Marketing Manager to ensure we have implemented best practise SEO & the site is optimised to the best of your ability.
  • COMMUNICATION: Monitor & manage customer reviews on site, feeding back if there are any recurring quality or product issues. Work closely with the Merchandising team to highlight products that are over or under-selling. Provide recommendations for site improvements and enhancements to improve user experience.

What we need from you?

  • 2-3 years in Ecommerce Merchandising, Trading or Ecommerce Executive role.
  • Experience managing or supporting multiple ecommerce websites is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing or mentoring a junior team member is desirable.
  • Strong commercial & analytical mindset.
  • Confident working with ecommerce data and translating insight into action.
  • In depth knowledge of SEO Best practise including awareness of evolving AI-led search developments.
  • Strong copywriting skills.
  • Strong numerical skills for reporting including strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience working with Shopify Plus & Google Analytics.
  • Experience using Ometria is desirable.
  • Ability to analyse website audits & communicate technical issues to the internal team & agencies.
  • Highly organised & efficient with meticulous attention to detail particularly across copy, context & visual merchandising.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, proactive attitude.
