About the Role
We’re looking for a creative and commercially minded Apparel Designer to join the team and lead design and development across Skinnydip’s apparel categories.
Responsibilities
Design seasonal apparel ranges across categories including:
- Jersey
- Sweats
- Outerwear
- Lounge
- Graphic‑led fashion pieces
- Create cohesive trend, colour and graphic stories aligned with the Skinnydip brand.
Graphics & Prints
- Develop bold placements, repeats, embroideries and graphic prints that feel distinctly Skinnydip.
Licensing
- Manage design submissions through licensor portals (Disney, Universal and others), tracking feedback and securing approvals.
Product Development
- Create CADs, BOMs and clear tech packs for suppliers.
- Brief fabrics, trims and washes while managing sampling and revisions.
Critical Path
- Own the development process for your styles, tracking strike‑offs, lab dips, PPS samples and production timelines.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in apparel design within fashion retail or supplier environments
Required Skills
- Strong graphic and print design skills
- A solid understanding of the full product lifecycle, from concept through to production
- Confident using Adobe Illustrator (Photoshop a plus)
- Commercial awareness with a strong instinct for trend and product
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects at pace
- A collaborative mindset and great communication with suppliers and internal teams
- Strong awareness of TikTok, Instagram and emerging fashion trends
- Experience working with licensed products
