Skin + Me is a mission driven start-up with seriously big skin goals. We’re looking for an exceptional Head of Growth to join our Marketing Team at Skin + Me on a 12 Month FTC (Maternity Cover). This is a hybrid working role with three days a week in our Paddington HQ (Mon, Tue, Fri) and two days remote.

As Head of Growth, you own how Skin + Me grows its profit — winning new customers and keeping them. You run the media budget and decide where the money goes, where we experiment, and what we automate. You lead a small team of channel experts, and you work hand-in-hand with brand, product, copy, design and dev to make sure customers see the right message at the right time. We move fast and we make decisions with evidence. The best people here are as good at deciding what to stop as what to start.

What you'll do:

  • Grow Skin + Me's profit through acquisition and retention — across paid media, influencers, CRM and website experience.
  • Own the media budget.
  • Keep optimising the channel mix for long‑term profit and the lifetime value of our customers, not just sign‑up volume.
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of five channel experts working across all brands of the + Me portfolio.
  • Run hypothesis‑led experiments across the funnel — ads, bidding and website — using AI to get from idea to live to result faster.
  • Decide where AI and automation add real leverage, and where they don't.
  • Spot which recurring work is worth systemising, which should simply stop, and prove the automated version beats the manual one before we scale it.
  • Brief the influencer and CRM teams on strategy, budget and priorities for Skin + Me.
  • Work with the brand team to build campaigns that land with our customers.
  • Keep a clear, current read on the market, our customers and competitor activity.
  • Work with the leadership team on where Skin + Me grows next.

Who you are:

  • You’ve grown an eCommerce business before — leading a growth team — and you're excited to do it again.
  • You have an eye for great talent and enjoy building and nurturing teams.
  • You’ve got hands‑on experience across the main digital channels and are happy to roll your sleeves up to guide your team.
  • You think in lifetime value, not just first orders.
  • You know real profit comes from customers who stay.
  • You’re highly analytical and run your own analysis and financial models, thanks to strong Excel and/or SQL.
  • You’ve worked in businesses where experiments drove the decisions and sensible risks were encouraged.
  • You already use AI for analysis, reporting and creative — and you're sharp at telling where it adds value versus where it quietly makes things worse.
  • You can tell the difference between work worth systemising and work that should just stop.
  • You think about what moves the numbers, not what fills a sprint.
  • You’re a clear, honest communicator who builds lasting trust inside and outside the business.
  • You are able to make decisions in a context of ambiguity, explain your rationale clearly, and bring people with you.
  • Ideally, you have German market knowledge and/or speak German.

Benefits:

  • Time off: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Hybrid & flexible: We are all remote on Wednesday and Thursday. When we are in the office on Monday, Tuesday and Friday our core hours are 10‑4. If you're an early bird you can do 7‑4, and if you're a night owl 10‑7 is fine too. Need more flexibility around your life – just let us know.
  • Fuelled: free breakfast and lunch on office days, plus snacks and drinks.
  • Growth: a £500 annual personal development budget.
  • Family & health: healthcare cash plan, cycle‑to‑work, and a workplace nursery scheme (save tax/NI on childcare).
  • The extras: a dog‑friendly HQ (two resident pups), an active Culture Club, and heavily discounted products for you and 10 friends & family.

More about Skin + Me, and the + Me Brands: In 2018, we set out to solve a problem that millions of people faced: not just struggling with their skin, but struggling to navigate skincare itself. By combining dermatology expertise, pharmacy and technology, Skin + Me created a simpler, more personalised approach – and proved that expert‑led care could reach people who'd never had access to it before. That belief became the foundation of something bigger. Today, + Me is the company behind Skin + Me, Hair + Me and Renew + Me, with more on the horizon. We're not building a single brand. We're building a category – one where clinical expertise, smart technology and real personalisation are the standard, not the exception. Every brand we build starts with a real problem. Every solution is rooted in science. And every person who joins + Me becomes part of re‑engineering personal care for more people, in more ways.
