Skin Rocks is looking for a Creative Lead to join the team on a 12-month maternity cover contract beginning in September 2025. You’ll be responsible for defining and executing the visual identity of Skin Rocks across all touchpoints—from brand campaigns and packaging to digital and social media content. This is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone who can concept, design, and lead creative direction while collaborating closely with Marketing, Product Development, E-commerce, and external partners. You’ll bring to life new product launches, brand campaigns, and community-driven content, ensuring Skin Rocks remains a visually pioneering and culturally relevant skincare brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Creative Leadership & Brand Identity
- Define and elevate the Skin Rocks visual identity, ensuring consistency across all creative touch points.
- Concept and execute high-impact, digital-first campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
- Own the brand’s design language, evolving guidelines and templates to maintain a strong and cohesive identity.
- Stay ahead of trends in skincare, beauty, and digital content, ensuring Skin Rocks leads in creative innovation.
- Campaigns & Content Creation
- Develop compelling creative concepts for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and brand storytelling initiatives.
- Oversee photo and video shoots, working with in-house and external talent (photographers, videographers, stylists, models).
- Ensure creative assets are optimised for performance across social media, e-commerce, paid advertising, and retail channels.
- Lead the design and execution of packaging for new product development (NPD) and GWP/Merch, ensuring innovation and brand consistency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Marketing, Product, E-commerce, CRM and Social teams to develop creative assets that align with brand strategy.
- Brief and manage external creative partners, including agencies, photographers, videographers, and freelancers.
- Partner with performance marketing to develop and iterate on ad creatives for digital campaigns.
- Team & Process Development
- Lead and mentor the internal design team.
- Oversee and optimize creative workflows to ensure efficiency and agility in execution.
- Conduct regular A/B testing of creative assets to optimise performance and engagement.
- Implement best practices in file management, asset organisation, and creative approvals.
Skillset & Experience
- Proven experience in beauty, skincare, or luxury branding (5+ years in graphic design, art direction, or creative leadership).
- Strong expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and motion graphics tools.
- A track record of leading brand campaigns from concept to execution, including photoshoots, digital design, and packaging.
- Understanding of performance marketing and how creative impacts digital ads, conversion, and engagement.
- A strong portfolio showcasing digital-first creative work in beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brands.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with video editing, animation, or AI-generated content.
- Familiarity with 3D design software (Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar) for packaging and visual assets.
