What You’ll Do
- Report to the Production Manager and support the day-to-day running of production operations, developing a thorough understanding of every aspect of how the facility works.
- Support the production planning process, ensuring stock levels, schedules and rotas are maintained to meet demand and volume fluctuations.
- Investigate operational issues as they arise, driving root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions with the help of the process engineering team.
- Take an active role in continuous improvement projects, identifying inefficiencies and proposing data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth and compliant production.
- Support audit readiness and ensure all operational processes are followed consistently and accurately.
- Maintain and develop reporting tools and dashboards to track key operational metrics.
Who You Are
- Significant experience in an operations or production environment, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth or start-up setting.
- A natural problem solver with a hands‐on, can‐do attitude — you roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid working knowledge of Excel; SQL experience or the appetite to learn is a bonus.
- Highly organised and methodical, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once.
- A confident communicator who works well across teams but is equally comfortable working autonomously.
- Eager to learn quickly, take on responsibility and grow with the business — you see ambiguity as an opportunity, not an obstacle.
- Experience working directly with production or engineering teams is a plus, as is exposure to regulated industries such as food or pharmaceuticals.
