DERM is deployed at more than 25 NHS organisations where we are supporting dermatology teams to build sustainable services that enable patients to gain quicker access to skin cancer diagnosis. We also collaborate with some of the largest health insurers to reach patients in their own homes. London based - Hybrid (3 days a week in the office).

Engineering Manager – Role

As an Engineering Manager you will work hand in hand with the Product Manager to lead and empower the engineering and QA team within your Business Unit to deliver high-impact, safe, and effective software for the UK health system. This role bridges the gap between product ambition and technical execution, ensuring sustainable delivery aligned with clinical and regulatory realities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering delivery - against product roadmap, driving excellent technical execution from the engineers
  • Partner with multiple stakeholders - Product, QA, DevOps, and senior management team to align roadmaps and execution plans
  • Be hands-on when needed - system architecture and solving complex technical issues
  • Manage a growing team - by conducting effective 1:1s, coach engineers, lead hiring and onboarding, and manage a career development framework
  • Agile/lean delivery practices - adapted to regulated or safety-critical environments
  • Introduce best engineering practices
