Skillsoft Global Knowledge is seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Procurement Director to lead our procurement and Supplier Relationship team, and oversee the procurement of various categories including Property, Facilities, Variable Costs linked to Training Delivery, and Third-Party Training Providers globally. This role is essential in ensuring that procurement processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals. In this new role, you will have the opportunity to build out the future procurement vision to support substantial growth in spend across global categories whilst being hands on as the team is built out.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement global procurement strategies that align with company objectives.
- Team Management: Lead and manage the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
- Category Management: Oversee procurement categories such as property, facilities, variable costs linked to training delivery, and third-party training providers.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure supplier performance meets company standards.
- Cost Management: Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to achieve financial targets.
- Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements in the respective countries.
- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and other key metrics to senior management.
- Client Engagement: Meet with key clients to review spend trends and opportunities.
Required Experience
- 12+ years of professional experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum 5 years in Procurement of professional services categories.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies on a global scale.
- Proven track record in managing procurement categories such as property, facilities, and third-party professional services.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Broad knowledge of procurement software and tools.
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the training or education industry.
- Familiarity with international procurement regulations and standards, notably North America, UK, France, and Netherlands.
- French or Dutch language proficiency advantageous.
