Solenis are recruiting for an Apprentice Environmental Practitioner. In this role, an apprentice supports the company’s sustainability and environmental management work while learning on the job. Solenis is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals for water‑intensive industries, including the pulp, paper, oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, biorefining, power and municipal markets. This role is based at: Cleckheaton Road, Low Moor, Bradford, BD12 0JZ.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Environment Team with tasks like permits, waste, emissions, noise, and environmental management systems.
- Help with environmental monitoring, including taking measurements and reporting results.
- Collect and track environmental data, and assist with projects that improve environmental performance.
- Create environmental communications and help deliver training to raise awareness.
- Take part in inspections, audits, regulator visits, and incident investigations to help identify and fix issues.
Qualifications:
- A-levels at BBC (or equivalent qualifications), plus GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4.
- Good IT skills, clear communication, and a safe, methodical approach to work.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, able to stay calm and work well in a team.
- Self‑motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic with a desire to succeed.
