We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join the gaming team on a freelance/contract basis, starting ASAP. The role is based hybrid in London with a minimum duration of 6 months, extendable depending on how the pilot goes.

Role: QA Game Tester – Contractor

Start Date: ASAP

Contract type: Full-time

Work mode: In-office or hybrid preferred

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan and execute test coverage across game features
  • Identify risk areas and determine test approach without waiting for explicit requirements
  • Write clear, actionable bug reports and qualitative feedback
  • Work closely with your internal QA counterpart to align on priorities and share findings

What we're looking for:

  • Solid hands-on game testing experience, ideally in mobile F2P
  • Strong working knowledge of iOS and Android, including device and OS fragmentation
  • Self-directed, able to manage own workload within a demanding release schedule
  • Good instincts around game design and player experience, not just surface-level defect spotting
  • Clear, concise communicator in writing and in person
  • Reliable and composed under pressure

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with farming or casual games
  • Experience with TestRail or Jira
  • Background as an external contractor or in a vendor QA context
