Are you an experienced World Artist specialising in stylised environments, mobile optimisation, and cohesive world‑building? This is a contract opportunity to contribute to an upcoming mobile title focused on creating a cosy, playful and highly readable game world. You’ll be responsible for crafting visually charming environments that balance personality, performance and clarity, working fully remotely within an established art direction.
About the role
You will help build the visual foundation of a stylised mobile game world, creating environments that feel cohesive, lively and easy to read on smaller screens. The role involves producing a wide range of environment assets and integrating them directly into Unity, working collaboratively with the wider art team to maintain consistency and performance.
What you’ll do
- Create stylised world assets including buildings, foliage, terrain and decorative props
- Develop modular and tileable asset sets such as paths, fences and environmental details
- Set up prefabs and integrate assets into Unity scenes and maps
- Optimise low‑poly assets for mobile performance
- Maintain strong visual cohesion, clear shape language and readability
- Collaborate closely within an existing art direction and production workflow
What we’re looking for
Experience- Mid‑ to senior‑level experience as a world or environment artist
- Proven experience creating stylised environment assets for games
- Experience working on mobile titles or performance‑constrained platforms
- Strong low‑poly modelling and UV mapping skills
- Experience building modular and tileable environment assets
- Unity integration experience, including prefabs and scene editing
- Excellent understanding of shape language, readability and visual hierarchy
- Ability to work creatively within established visual guidelines
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Drawing fundamentals and basic concepting ability
- Experience using Blender
