Overview
Are you an experienced Finance Change Lead Analyst with expertise in Workday Financials and a passion for driving system improvements?
This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract where you will play a central role in shaping and enhancing Workday to support finance transformation and business growth.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the Finance Change and Systems Manager in the day-to-day administration and enhancement of Workday Financials
- Leading, designing, testing, and implementing system changes to deliver ongoing improvements
- Managing pre-release activities, ensuring business cases are clearly articulated and detailed requirements align with solution design
- Overseeing release processes, including sprint planning, development quality, live testing, and deployment approval
- Ensuring post-release monitoring, defect resolution, and continuous improvement are in place
- Gathering and documenting change requests, working with SMEs to prioritise and design solutions
- Assisting with finance transformation projects impacting Workday Financials
- Configuring Workday, including reports, business processes, integrations, and security maintenance
- Producing high-quality Workday reports and supporting development work across financial modules
- Challenging existing practices, identifying risks, and driving process improvements
- Building collaborative relationships across finance and wider business functions
Qualifications
- Strong background working in finance or accounting functions, with experience in finance change or system administration roles
- Previous hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including reporting, business processes, security, custom validations, calculated fields, and financial SKUs
- Knowledge of ERP, General Ledger, or P2P systems, with exposure to implementations and post go-live support
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure
- Familiarity with Agile development approaches and continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or qualified by experience
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and influence stakeholders
