Are you an experienced Art Producer with a strong background in game art pipelines, cross‑discipline coordination and live production environments? Join a remote‑first game development team working on a new MMO in early production. You’ll play a critical role in keeping the art department running smoothly, building production processes from the ground up and ensuring clear visibility across a fast‑moving, multi‑disciplinary team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys creating structure where none exists yet, and knows how to support creative teams without slowing them down.

About the role

You will act as the dedicated production partner for the art department, working closely with art leadership and the wider production group to plan, track and deliver art content. With the project in early production, you’ll help define how art work is scoped, scheduled and coordinated across disciplines such as environment art, character art, VFX, lighting, UI and technical art. Your role is to surface risks early, unblock challenges and provide clear, honest reporting to leadership.

What you’ll do

  • Own and maintain the art production schedule across all art disciplines
  • Build task breakdowns, sprint plans and milestone forecasts
  • Track progress and report clearly on status, risks, dependencies and scope changes
  • Facilitate art production meetings including sprint planning, stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Manage art‑specific project boards and workflows, ensuring tickets are well‑scoped and prioritised
  • Coordinate handoffs between art, design, engineering and QA
  • Work with technical art and engineering on asset integration, performance considerations and build stability
  • Collaborate with central production to align art milestones with studio‑wide schedules
  • Support realistic scoping, capacity planning and risk mitigation for the art department

What we’re looking for

Experience

  • 4+ years of professional game production experience
  • At least 2 years embedded in or directly supporting an art department
  • Experience on at least one shipped title where you managed art schedules and cross‑discipline coordination
  • Familiarity with agile or hybrid production methodologies

Skills

  • Strong understanding of game art pipelines including concept, modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, VFX, lighting and integration
  • Proficiency with JIRA or similar project management tools
  • Strong planning, tracking and reporting abilities
  • Clear, confident communication, including scope discussions and risk escalation
  • Ability to balance creative needs with production realities

Nice to have

  • Experience producing art for MMO or large‑scale open‑world projects
  • Familiarity with Unreal Engine production workflows
  • Experience with hybrid milestone‑and‑sprint methodologies
  • Background in resource planning or headcount forecasting for creative teams

Working style / behaviours

  • Organised but flexible, able to adapt plans as production evolves
  • Honest and transparent with status and risks
  • Comfortable operating in early‑stage, evolving environments
  • Autonomous and proactive in a remote‑first setting
  • Trusted partner to artists, leads and producers alike

Why join

  • Key role shaping art production processes from the ground up
  • Opportunity to work on a new MMO in early development
  • Fully remote, international team
  • Collaborative culture built on ownership and trust
  • Long‑term project with a multi‑year live‑service vision
