SkillSavvy is building a national, web-based platform that makes it easier for employers to access government-funded training across all major funding routes — including Apprenticeships (with Levy Transfer) and the Adult Skills Fund (ASF). Rather than selling a single provider or qualification, we help employers quickly identify the right funded training for their workforce and connect them with vetted, trusted training providers. This reduces friction, shortens sales cycles, and creates better outcomes for employers and learners alike.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced FE sales professional who can hit the ground running. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on employer engagement, business development, and conversion. You’ll work nationally, engaging employers across sectors, identifying funded training opportunities, and converting them into learner starts through our provider network.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively engage employers through outbound activity and follow-up
  • Hold qualified employer conversations to identify funded training needs
  • Convert opportunities into learner starts across Apprenticeships and ASF
  • Build and manage a live pipeline using HubSpot CRM
  • Work to clear monthly and quarterly performance targets
  • Develop long-term employer relationships, including larger strategic accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth referral and onboarding journeys

Sales Cadence & Expectations

This is not a call-centre role.

  • 30–50 employer touchpoints per day (calls, email, LinkedIn combined)
  • 12–15 qualified employer conversations per week
  • Rolling 30–60 day active pipeline
  • CRM activity updated daily with weekly pipeline forecasting
  • Focus on consistent, repeatable activity rather than volume for volume’s sake

What We’re Looking For

You must have experience in at least one of the following:

  • Employer engagement or business development within an ITP or FE college
  • Selling government-funded training (Apprenticeships, ASF, Bootcamps, etc.)
  • B2B sales roles within education, skills or workforce development

You’ll also bring:

  • Strong objection handling and consultative selling skills
  • Confidence engaging business owners, HR teams and senior managers
  • Disciplined CRM and pipeline management
  • A self-starting, accountable approach to sales

Package & Rewards

  • £30,000–£36,000 basic salary (DOE)
  • Uncapped commission paid monthly, per learner
  • Typical performers earn £20k–£25k per year in commission
  • Strong performers exceed this through uncapped earnings
  • Realistic total earnings: £50k–£60k+

Benefits

  • Fully remote role (England) or Hybrid (depending on your location)
  • Occasional travel for larger employer accounts (mileage paid)
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
  • 35-hour working week (9:00–4:30, Monday–Friday)
  • Company pension (UK auto-enrolment)
  • Marketing and automation support, including inbound leads
  • HubSpot CRM with workflows and automation
  • Performance incentives including early finishes, extra holiday days and cash bonuses
  • Ongoing CPD and development opportunities
