Who We Are

Skills for Security is a leading UK training provider specialising in apprenticeships and technical education for the fire, security, and electrotechnical sectors, supporting learners and employers nationwide. This role will also support Skills On-Demand, our fast-growing digital learning platform, and can be based anywhere in the UK with regular travel to Walsall and occasional national travel. This is a full-time, permanent role.

About the Role

You’ll take the lead in delivering high-impact marketing activity that supports learner recruitment, employer engagement, and brand growth across a dynamic and growing organisation in the skills and training sector. From apprenticeships to digital learning platforms, you’ll bring campaigns to life across multiple channels – helping individuals build careers while strengthening industry partnerships. This is a fast-paced, varied, and highly rewarding role where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead Campaigns That Deliver Results
    • Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, social, email, events)
    • Align activity with recruitment cycles and business priorities
    • Track performance, analyse results, and continuously optimise
  • Step Into Leadership
    • Lead and inspire a small, talented marketing team
    • Support development through coaching, feedback, and mentoring
    • Create a positive, collaborative, high-performing environment
  • Own Projects & Events
    • Manage multiple campaigns and projects end-to-end
    • Deliver engaging events—from open days to industry showcases
    • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure success
  • Shape Content & Digital Presence
    • Oversee compelling content across web, social, and email
    • Ensure messaging resonates with learners, employers, and stakeholders
    • Drive engagement, growth, and brand consistency
  • Use Insight to Drive Impact
    • Monitor KPIs including leads, engagement, and ROI
    • Use data and market insight to inform strategy
    • Continuously test, learn, and improve

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a marketing role
  • Experience delivering multi-channel campaigns end-to-end
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Confident communicator with a flair for engaging content
  • Data-driven mindset with an eye for performance and optimisation

Bonus points for:

  • Experience in education, apprenticeships, or training
  • CRM or marketing automation tools (e.g. HubSpot)
