Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Executive

At Skills for Security, we are passionate about creating meaningful career opportunities within the fire and security industry. We are looking for a proactive, organised and people-focused Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Executive to help apprentices take their first steps into an exciting new career.

This is a fast-paced, varied role that combines recruitment, candidate support and apprenticeship onboarding. You will manage your own caseload from first application through to programme start, ensuring every apprentice and employer receives a professional, supportive and seamless experience.

This is a hybrid role, therefore candidates should live within commutable distance to Warrington, Watford or Walsall.

What you will be doing

You will review applications, speak with prospective apprentices, support them with CVs and interview preparation, and match the right people to employer vacancies. You will build strong relationships with applicants, employers, schools, colleges and referral partners, helping us promote apprenticeship opportunities and achieve our learner-start targets.

Once a candidate is ready to progress, you will lead their onboarding journey. This includes completing sign-up calls, gathering and checking documentation, issuing contracts, supporting Apprenticeship Service processes and working closely with our Compliance and Apprenticeship Delivery teams to make sure everything is accurate, compliant and ready for a successful learning launch.

You will keep HubSpot and other systems up to date, spot risks early, chase outstanding actions and provide clear progress updates to the Apprentice Recruitment and Onboarding Lead. There will also be opportunities to support events, networking activity and improvements to the way we recruit and onboard learners.

What we are looking for

You will have experience in apprenticeship recruitment and/or apprenticeship onboarding, alongside experience of managing a busy recruitment, onboarding or customer caseload.

You will be confident communicating with a wide range of people, highly organised and comfortable managing deadlines without losing attention to detail. You will enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and delivering a brilliant experience for both applicants and employers.

Experience of apprenticeship funding, eligibility or compliance requirements, HubSpot, or working with schools, colleges and employer partners would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to local centres or events is essential.
