Are you passionate about high-quality apprenticeship delivery and ready to lead from the front? At Skills for Security, we’re on a mission to deliver apprenticeships that genuinely change lives and strengthen industries. We’re now looking for an Apprenticeship Delivery Team Leader to play a pivotal role in shaping learner outcomes, supporting our Skills Coaches, and driving excellence across our apprenticeship provision. This role reports directly into the Head of Apprenticeships.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands what great delivery looks like - in practice, not just on paper. This role will cover the Southern region, which currently includes centres in Watford, Dagenham and Bristol. Regular on-site presence is expected, therefore travel should be anticipated.
The Role
As our Apprenticeship Delivery Team Leader, you’ll provide operational leadership to a team of 10 - 12 Skills Coaches, ensuring apprentices receive a high-quality, engaging, and compliant learning experience. You’ll be trusted to lead delivery in line with the Education Inspection Framework, DfE Apprenticeship Funding Rules (2025–2026), and audit requirements - while keeping learner progress, experience, and achievement firmly at the heart of everything you do.
Working closely with our Quality, Curriculum, and Funding Compliance teams, you’ll influence practice, develop people, and ensure our apprenticeship programmes deliver real impact for learners and employers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting Skills Coaches to deliver high-quality apprenticeship provision aligned to our values and expectations
- Driving performance through clear objectives linked to learner achievement, quality, and compliance
- Holding regular 1:1s, caseload reviews, and performance conversations to support accountability and professional growth
- Championing strong curriculum planning, delivery, and assessment - including high-quality off-the-job training
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Quality Improvements team to support observations, learning walks, and targeted CPD
- Ensuring safeguarding, British values, careers education, and personal development are embedded across the learner journey
- Monitoring delivery performance against KPIs and the Apprenticeship Provider Accountability Framework
- Using data and insight to evaluate impact, identify risks early, and support timely intervention
- Making sure apprentices and employers receive a professional, responsive, and consistent experience
About You
You’re confident leading people, comfortable with accountability, and motivated by learner success. You know what good looks like in apprenticeship delivery and can articulate it clearly - to staff and stakeholders alike. You’ll bring:
- Experience in apprenticeship or FE delivery or operations leadership
- Strong working knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework and Government Funding Rules
- A proven track record of leading teams to deliver compliant, high-impact learning
- Confidence working with quality assurance processes, audit evidence, and Ofsted readiness
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- A teaching or assessing qualification (AET, PGCE, TAQA)
- IQA or Lead IQA status - preferred but not essential; a willingness to work towards this is required
- Experience across multiple apprenticeship standards or sectors (construction or the built environment is a bonus)
What We Offer:
- Home/hybrid working
- Competitive salary and company bonus
- 33 days of annual leave, plus Christmas closure (3 days)
- Enhanced pension contributions
- Family friendly working hours
- Life assurance 3 x salary
- Refer a friend scheme
- Development and progression opportunities
- Funded qualification opportunities
