Brief overview of the role:
Are you interested in a rewarding career in pharmacy? Do you want to work as a registered professional who assists pharmacists with various tasks, such as dispensing medicines, providing health advice, and managing the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy? If so, then this apprenticeship is for you!

Qualifications Required:
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Team working, Initiative, Non-judgemental, Patience

Desired skills:

  • A keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
  • Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • The willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.

Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3

Vacancy description:
Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship – Manchester

  • Achieve the best possible outcome through a person’s medicines by managing, ordering, receiving, maintaining and supplying medicines and other pharmaceutical products safely, legally and effectively, whilst meeting the regulatory standards.
  • Provide person-centred health advice to all patients, whether on prescription or over the counter, and refer them to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Support the management of the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy, such as clinical governance, business operation and processes, and supervise other pharmacy staff.
  • Provide training to pharmacy and the wider healthcare teams, such as for new members of staff.
  • Maintain a quality service through auditing and evaluating the service and processes, and respond to feedback.
  • You will also gain a nationally recognised qualification at Level 3, equivalent to A level, which will enable you to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
