About the course

SW4 7RD We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties

  • Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries
  • Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
  • Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records
  • Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
  • Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship Details

  • Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
  • Duration: Typically 15 months
  • Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
  • Apprentices must commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours

Additional Information
