About the role:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
- Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
- Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
- Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
Requirements:
- GCSEs at A‑C or 4‑9 or equivalent in Maths and English (desired but not essential; if lacking, must complete tests)
- No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
Training & Apprenticeship Details:
- Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship qualification
- Typically 15 months duration
- Training delivered alongside job through blended learning
- Apprentices must commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
