About the role
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Key duties
- Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
- Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
- Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
- Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Qualifications required
GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as they can be provided as part of the course. For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
Training to be provided
Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Apprenticeship details
Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship
Duration: Typically 15 months
Training delivered alongside your job through blended learning
Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
