We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
- Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
- Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
- Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
- Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
Requirements
- GCSEs at A-C or 4‑9 or equivalent, in Maths and English.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Basic IT skills.
- No previous pharmacy experience required – full training will be provided.
- Ability to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours.
- Ability to be within 30 minutes of the pharmacy; driving capability preferred.
Training
- Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
Apprenticeship Details

- Duration: Typically 15 months.
