We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
  • Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
  • Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
  • Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
  • Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements

  • GCSEs at A‑C or 4‑9 or equivalent in Maths and English (desired but not essential; if lacking, must complete tests)
  • No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn

Training & Apprenticeship Details

  • Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship qualification
  • Typically 15 months duration
  • Training delivered alongside job through blended learning
  • Apprentices must commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
