Skills Provision is seeking a Vehicle Technician for a position in the United Kingdom. This position is located just outside of London. The hiring garage prides itself on high-quality service across a multitude of brands. Visa sponsorship may be considered for suitably qualified applicants.
Location: Ilford, Greater London, United Kingdom
Remuneration: £41,000-£45,000 per year
- 28 Days of Paid Annual Leave (Including bank holidays)
- Company bonus scheme
- Visa sponsorship if needed
- Assistance with accommodation if needed
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08:00 – 18:00 (45 hours per week)
The Role:
- Identify and diagnose vehicle faults
- Undertake scheduled maintenance and repair work
- Keep accurate records of all work in progress and completed tasks
- Thoroughly test components and systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
- Perform routine vehicle care, such as tyre changes and oil checks
- Deliver a high standard of customer service
Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of previous experience as a mechanic
- Hold a formally recognised trade qualification such as a master technician or similar
- Main brand and dealership experience is preferred, such as but not limited to Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW, VW/Audi and Porsche
- Experience with petrol and diesel vehicles, electric and hybrid vehicles would be advantageous
- Able to carry out major works such as head gasket replacement, engine rebuilding etc.
- Understanding of vehicle electrics would be welcomed
- A valid UK car driving license. If you hold a non-UK license, support may be available for conversion
- Professional demeanour and customer-focused approach
- Keen eye for detail
- Good command of the English language
- International applicants will need to meet the immigration requirements for the Skilled Worker Visa
