Overview
Skills People Group is a national provider of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs), Pre-Employment Training Programmes, Adult Learning, Skills Bootcamps and Compliance Training. We specialise in both commercial and funded training and are recognised as one of the UK’s largest private training providers. We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, qualified Learner Engagement Coach to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain effective referral partner relationships, lead generation and support a diverse group of adult learners through screening and the application process.
- Report to the Academy Manager and support the smooth functioning of learner recruitment, selection, and enrolment.
- Travel within Watford and the surrounding areas to visit academy spaces; work with learners in groups and one-to-one, in person or remotely.
- Provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), conduct initial assessments, coordinate appointments, and complete enrolment onto programmes; act as the main point of contact for learner queries.
- Identify employers, build relationships with them, and engage with work placements and employment opportunities aligned to learners’ skills, experience and aspirations.
- Support learner numbers on scheduled programmes by delivering clear information, advice and guidance while upholding the company value: “Right Learner, Right Programme, Right Time”.
- Develop and maintain referral partnerships across the region.
- Lead on on-boarding communications for learners enrolled onto programmes; provide continuous support throughout the learner journey.
- Produce statistics and reports on learner progress against targets; ensure CRM system accuracy and maintenance.
- Attend Jobcentre Plus offices, community hubs, probation services and other referral agencies to conduct 1-2-1 and group information or enrolment sessions.
- Network with potential employers, promote the Skills Academies services and set up meetings with referral partners to support milestones (Interview and Employment offer) for Level 2 Bootcamp programmes.
- Provide weekly feedback to Head of Operations and Academy Manager, or referral partners, on learner engagement and retention.
- Carry out safeguarding risk assessments and report to the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO).
- Assist with organisation and running of events within the academy and attend events such as jobs fairs and recruitment drives to generate leads where possible.
Qualifications
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
- IAG to a Level 2; or willingness to work towards.
