Job Overview
We are recruiting a highly organised, part‑qualified accountant to join our finance team.
Responsibilities
- Manage bank and cash function including reconciliations, receipts and supplier payments.
- Prepare internal payroll and pension function, ensuring salaries and deductions processed accurately.
- Record financial transactions accurately and provide reports when required.
- Prepare quarterly VAT return.
- Assist in analysing financial data and reconciling discrepancies.
- Assist the finance team with ad hoc projects.
Qualifications
Part‑qualified accountant or QBE with minimum 3 years experience in finance role.
Prior experience processing staff payroll.
Fully fluent Microsoft Excel.
Accurate with acute attention to detail.
Organised with pro‑active approach and strong communication skills.
Fluent level both spoken and written English.
Educated to minimum GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with Sage 200.
- Construction sector experience.
- Training sector experience.

Reporting & Location
You will report to the Head of Finance.
You will be based at Unit 1, The Bridge Business Centre, Beresford Way, Chesterfield, S41 9FG for a minimum of 2 days per week with Hybrid working options available.
