A.T. Alarms Ltd are an independent, NSI Gold-certified fire safety and security installer based in Nottingham. Established in the late 1970s, the firm provides electronic security, physical security, and fire protection solutions for domestic, commercial, and industrial customers throughout the UK. They are now looking to recruit a brand new apprentice fire and security engineer!
As an apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to install, maintain and fault-find on the following systems:
- Access Control
- Video Surveillance
- Intruder Alarms
- Fire Alarms
- Entry phones
Entry Requirements
- Due to the travel requirements of the role, a UK driving license is required
- Maths and English at grade 4 GCSE (or equivalent) or above
- willing and able to pass an enhanced DBS background check
- Electrics experience or qualifications would be a bonus
- Desire to learn more about the wider fire and security industry
- Excellent customer service and teamworking skills
- Comfortable working at height, due to the nature of the role
Training to be Provided
This is where you'll learn the skills that employers actually want. Your apprenticeship training is delivered by Skills for Security, specialists in fire and security training. You’ll train through block release at our Walsall centre, for one week every eight weeks (Tuesday–Friday). You’ll work towards a Level 3 Fire, Emergency & Security Systems Technician apprenticeship, gaining real skills and a nationally recognised qualification.
