Location: Home-based, with expectation of travel nationally where required

This role is advertised externally as Programme Lead - Learning and Development. Internally we call this role Programme Lead - Workforce Development.

Skills for Care is the strategic workforce development and planning body for adult social care in England. We work with employers, Government and partners to ensure social care has the right people, skills and support required to deliver the highest quality care and support now and in the future.

Skills for Care has an exciting opportunity for a learning and development professional with substantial management experience to join our wider Workforce Learning and Development Team as a Programme Lead, managing our multi-disciplinary team to support learning solutions and delivery in the adult social care sector. You will be responsible for delivering on an exciting portfolio of strategic activity designed to:

  • Improve and expand our learning and development offer for the sector.
  • Lead and develop our learning solutions and the colleagues with subject matter expertise contributing towards this.
