Skills for Care is the only national charity focused on building a stronger workforce for the quality care we all need. We work with employers, Government, and partners to ensure social care has the right people, skills, and support required to deliver the highest quality care and support, now and in the future. We respond and adapt to the emerging trends and needs within social care, using data and evidence to drive forward widescale change. We provide best practice, tools, resources, and intelligence to support workforce recruitment, capabilities, and culture.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape how Skills for Care communicates its work, demonstrates its impact and engages audiences across the adult social care sector. As PR and Content Officer, you will create compelling content across a range of channels, bringing our brand, campaigns, products and services to life while using existing and emerging tools to optimise content for different audiences, maximise reach and strengthen engagement.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, including the CEO and leadership team, you will translate complex workforce issues into clear, engaging stories that inform, influence and inspire action. You will also play a key role in promoting our products, services and commercial offer, including The Training Hub, helping audiences understand the value of our support and encouraging engagement with our resources and programmes.
Alongside content creation and campaign delivery, you will lead PR activity, building relationships with media and stakeholders to amplify our messages, extend our reach and strengthen our reputation as a trusted voice on workforce issues. We are looking for an excellent copywriter who is curious about new approaches to content creation and optimisation, and passionate about ensuring our brand, content, products and services remain visible, relevant and sector-leading in a crowded marketplace. This role is ideal for a creative and strategic communications professional who thrives on collaboration and is passionate about delivering communications that make a real difference to the adult social care sector.
