Are you passionate about inspiring and developing the next generation of industry talent to thrive? Due to growing customer numbers, we are looking for dynamic, people-focused and service-minded assessors to join our delivery team. At Skills Edge Training, the Assessor plays a key role in ensuring that our customers always receive a valuable learning experience that gets them to where they need to be on time, every time.

The role has four core accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Developmental Feedback: You will ensure your customers have clarity of progress through regular assessment, ensuring that no one is left behind. All learners are provided directional personalised developmental feedback to ensure they can succeed regardless of their background, needs or experience. Tailor individual learning plans to provide an engaging, valuable and motivational clear pathway to success for our customers; making suitable adaptations based on prior learning, learning styles and additional learning support. Build relationships based on trust, loyalty and tangible long-term value, rising to challenges and exceeding expectations.
  • Internal and External Compliance: Maintain excellent record keeping, ensuring that the value you add is evidenced each month in line with internal standards and those set by the Education Inspection Framework and Funding Rules.
  • Safeguarding, Equality and Inclusion: Provide a safe learning experience for our customers which promotes safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion throughout all that you do. This includes ensuring all learners have access to independent careers information, advice and guidance.

Minimum 3 years’ experience assessing apprenticeship standards. Experienced in a range of assessment practices and techniques. Experienced in showcase portfolio building using holistic practices. Experienced in End-Point Assessment with a high pass / distinction rate. Exceptional IT skills, confidently utilising e-portfolios and Microsoft 365 applications. Level 4 teaching qualification. Occupational competence in Financial Services, Insurance and / or Leadership and Management.
