Responsibilities
As a Skills Investment Adviser you’ll be actively involved with the management of Foundation (FA) and Modern Apprenticeship (MA) Programme contracts of Learning Providers (including independent learning providers, colleges, local authorities and employers) to ensure the providers are delivering a quality learning experience and positive outcomes for individuals with a focus on continuous improvement.
You’ll have the opportunity to assist with the facilitation of appropriate performance management and reporting of FA/MA contracts. You’ll monitor, consult with and gather feedback from learners and employers to deliver against a variety of Scottish Government initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- Contract/account or project management experience.
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills and the ability to respond positively to a variety of tasks and set deadlines.
- Proven track record in excellent customer service and communication skills enabling engagement with a range of people from various backgrounds and situations.
- Experience working with management information systems and reports, and with organisations to deliver services.
- Attention to detail in accurate recording of information and providing written reports and feedback to contractors and senior management by given deadlines.
Additional Requirements
A full current driving licence and access to a vehicle or alternative means of transport (e.g. Access to Work support) is essential for:
- Covering all areas of Scotland;
- Conducting learning provider visits;
- On-site observations;
- Gathering feedback from apprentices and employers in their workplace;
- Traveling at short notice for provider investigations related to programme delivery.
Location & Working Arrangement
This role can be located at any SDS location. SDS is working to a hybrid working model where the successful candidate will be expected to work from home and an SDS workplace, as well as visit partners on a regular basis. We are open to discuss this with candidates at interview.
