We are seeking End Point Assessors for the following sectors listed below:

  • Transport Warehouse Supervisor
  • Supply Chain Warehouse Operative
  • Pastry Chef

Job Purpose

The Independent End-Point Assessor (IEPA) is responsible for acting on behalf of Skills and Education Group to carry out independent assessment of apprentices in line with the requirements of assessment plans, best practice and Skills and Education Group policies and procedures for the relevant standards they are qualified to assess. The IEPA will be a key link between Skills and Education Group and its customers. While remaining independent, the IEPA will need to build rapport with employers and others and promote Skills and Education Group’s values and ethos.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducting planning meetings with apprentices and employers and managing the overall assessment planning process to ensure all components are completed within the end-point assessment window.
  • Conducting assessments for apprentices in line with the relevant industry-specific apprenticeship standards and assessment plan requirements.
  • Determining component and overall grades for the apprentice in line with the assessment plan requirements and any grading criteria stipulated.
  • Maintaining a thorough knowledge of and adhering to all Skills and Education Group policies, procedures and best practice when conducting assessments.
  • Documenting apprentice competence and keeping appropriate audit trails of all assessment activity and engagements in line with Skills and Education Group procedures.
  • Ensuring all assessment judgements are fair, valid and free from bias.
  • Reporting decisions and activity regarding end-point assessment caseload to Skills and Education Group within agreed timeframes.
  • Taking part in standardisation and training activities as required by Skills and Education Group.
  • Maintaining ongoing, up-to-date and relevant Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and providing evidence of this upon request by Skills and Education Group.
  • Reporting any risks or issues identified during assessments, including where maladministration or malpractice is suspected.
  • Providing technical advice, where required, to a range of stakeholders.
