We are looking for an innovative and agile Pharmacometrics Lead to join a Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology group.

About the role

You will lead the Pharmacometrics AI and ML strategy to support the development of a growing portfolio. This includes dose selection, trial design, extrapolation where appropriate, PIP development, and the ongoing evaluation of emerging clinical data across programs.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and leading AI and ML strategy within Pharmacometrics and Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology
  • Evaluating and adopting emerging technologies across pharmacometrics and quantitative clinical pharmacology
  • Performing hands-on AI and ML, population PK/PD, exposure response modeling, and clinical trial simulations on project teams
  • Delivering submission‑ready, fit‑for‑purpose pharmacometrics analysis plans and reports
  • Initiating and overseeing outsourced pharmacometrics and AI and ML work, with responsibility for internalizing activities where appropriate
  • Supporting and mentoring the development of the pharmacometrics team from both a scientific and technical perspective
  • Applying state‑of‑the‑art methodologies to optimize drug discovery and development
  • Working across global regulatory pathways, including engagement with health authorities and external working parties, particularly in Paediatrics, Neurology, and Immunology
  • Partnering closely with QCP Leads to ensure full integration of pharmacometrics into development programs
  • Promoting MID3 principles internally and externally

What we’re looking for:

  • PhD or MD in pharmaceutical sciences, statistics, engineering, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of industry experience in pharmacometrics, with at least 2 years applying AI and ML in drug development
  • Strong hands‑on expertise in population PK/PD, disease progression modeling, and clinical trial simulation
  • Deep understanding of Bayesian methodologies and model‑based meta‑analysis
  • Practical experience with R, Python, Matlab, NONMEM, or related pharmacometrics tools
  • An agile mindset with the ability to prioritize and adapt across multiple projects
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
