Are you an experienced Group Accountant interested in joining our biotech client that is leading the way in developing innovative CAR-T cell therapies for cancer treatment? We're hiring for a fast growing bio-pharmaceutical company at an exciting stage of development and would like to appoint a Group Accountant responsible for assisting in preparing various monthly and quarterly accruals and prepayments and related journal entries across group companies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of information from ERP systems related to corporate tax (including UK R&D tax credits) collaborating with external tax advisors as required.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support completion of monthly and quarterly SOX controls.
  • Assist in preparation of the quarterly financial consolidation in D365.
  • Assist in the preparation of disclosures related to the 10-K, 10-Q filings and the UK Annual Reports.
  • Direct liaison with external auditors through the quarterly and year end close process ensuring any audit queries are managed and resolved in an effective and timely manner.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience of financial reporting and controls experience with proven technical accounting ability and current institute membership with up to date CPD.
  • Public company experience in a corporate accounting or reporting role with exposure to financial audits and internal control risk assessments.
  • Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS) and research abilities.
  • Hands on experience of internal financial controls (ideally including SOX experience).

Qualifications

  • ACA Qualified.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs and intermediate Excel skills.
