Group Accountant – White City, London / Hybrid – 6-month Contract* Are you an experienced Group Accountant interested in joining our biotech client that is leading the way in developing innovative CAR-T cell therapies for cancer treatment? We\’re hiring for a fast growing bio-pharmaceutical company at an exciting stage of development and would like to appoint a Group Accountant responsible for assisting in preparing various monthly and quarterly accruals and prepayments and related journal entries across group companies. Assist in the preparation and analysis of information form ERP systems related to corporate tax (including UK R&D tax credits) collaborating with external tax advisors as required. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in preparation of the quarterly financial consolidation in D365 Direct liaison with external auditors through the quarterly and year end close process ensuring any audit queries are managed and resolved in an effective and timely manner. 3+ years of experience of financial reporting and controls experience with proven technical accounting ability and current institute membership with up to date CPD. ~ Public company experience in a corporate accounting or reporting role with exposure to financial audits and internal control risk assessments. ~ Strong technical accounting skills (IFRS) and research abilities. ~ Hands on experience of internal financial controls (ideally including SOX experience). Experience with Microsoft Office programs and intermediate Excel skills.
